Are you interested in being involved in a committee, making a difference, fundraising, event planning or other volunteer opportunities?
Getting involved with House of Sophrosyne is an excellent way to make a difference in your community, to ‘give back’ and develop new skills. We are always looking for volunteers to assist us with our special events, childcare and fundraising activities. Other opportunities are also available for those with administrative skills or to contribute your unique talent to a project we may be working on. All volunteers must have a vulnerable persons records check dated within the last 6 months. This completed form must be brought to your local police station (there is a non-refundable charge for volunteers to acquire a vulnerable persons records check).
We do not use volunteers in our treatment programs; only professional staff are involved in any aspect of service delivery.
We understand that life is busy, and time is precious. We value your time with us, and are looking for volunteers to dedicate a few hours per month.
We will work with your schedule to find time that suits both our needs.
Volunteers are an integral element of House of Sophrosyne. They are actively involved in many aspects of our operation. Without the commitment and contributions of these passionate volunteers, our organization would have difficulty achieving our shared mission and vision.
Please contact Rendia Bechard (firstname.lastname@example.org) 519-252-2711 ext. 101 for more information.
The House of Sophrosyne is a community-based agency that welcomes volunteers who give their time and energy to enrich services to women struggling with substance abuse and dependency. Due to sensitivity of the information the volunteers may come across, they need to conduct themselves by the rules set in this code of conduct.
